.Gov stand for government, it is used for all government websites and political websites.

.Net

.Net stands for network. It is originally for network providers.

In web addresses .ac stands for academic institution. Sometimes it is used for associations, it can also be used by anyone.

.Co stand for company it is a new domain ending which lots of people use if they have a company.

.Org stands for organization it is sometimes used in internet browsers for example http://www.wikipedia.org
